The business continuity planning, analysis and publishing software used by the MSTA methodology was originally developed as a series of Microsoft Excel® and Microsoft Word® files.

Correctly owned and licensed copies of Microsoft Excel® and Microsoft Word® are, therefore, required by all MSTA Basic and MSTA Versions 7.35 & 7.1 customers to enable them to use the software sections of the MSTA methodology.

MSTA Basic

MSTA Basic is a suite of forms, analysis tools and report documents that is based on MSTA Version 5.0. They may be used in conjunction with the MSTA Guidelines by a BC co-ordinator or responsible line manager to assist in the preparation of a basic business continuity plan.

MSTA Basic is available free of charge to end users who have first read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of use. The file also contains demonstrations of MSTA v7.35 and MSTA v7.1.

MSTA Guidelines for BC Planning

The MSTA Guidelines for business continuity planning are available free of charge to end users who have first read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of use.
