5.3 Developing Draft Plans

There are several BC plan 'printing' tools available. The MSTA methodology includes a plan template, into which dynamic data values can be special pasted, enabling plan documents to be produced quickly.

In MSTA software versions from v7.1 onwards, dynamic data is entered once only.
The entered data automatically updates up to 40 separate locations throughout the bc plan documents.

Individual recovery team plans are selected by a single mouse click. MSTA v7.1 plan templates will immediately display all documentation relating to the selected team.

In addition to the list of staff required for each recovery team, the following information is included in MSTA plan documentation:

1. Management summary of the recovery concepts
2. Recovery philosophy / policy
3. Recovery strategy
4. Building evacuation procedures and external meeting points.
5. Escalation procedures
6. Help line telephone number for use in emergency
7. Recovery team organisation chart
8. Out of hours contact telephone numbers for all recovery staff
9. Contact information for the recovery site(s)
10. Maps, showing road / public transport routes to the recovery sites
11. Recovery site layout and seating allocation
12. IT applications provided on each recovery desk
13. Re-start schedule for IT applications
14. Telephone number diversion list(s)
15. Recovery task list for each team
16. External contact and notification list for each team
