8.4 BCP - Performance Monitoring and Control

After implementation of a bc plan, the periodic plan maintenance, testing and staff training procedures should be continuously monitored and measured against pre-determined performance levels, for parameters such as completeness of plan documentation, quality and frequency of bc plan testing, maintenance frequency, change control, etc.

Mathematical performance ratings can be produced to enable comparison between individual bc plans and the established performance criteria. Poor performance could result in censure or even budgetary forfeits for negligent bc plan owners.

MSTA methodology includes BCP performance monitoring algorithms.

Performance ratings may be calculated either externally or by the owner of the plan.
