Ownership of the BC planning process and any resulting BC plan

Ownership of an implemented business continuity plan must reside with the team or organisation for which that BC plan has been written. Ownership should be encouraged and even impelled from the outset of the BC planning process.

A BC co-ordinator, manager or external consultant can only provide advice and guidance to the ultimate owner during the development and implementation of the BC plan. Therefore, an individual or business entity which employs or solicits information from Michael Bews Associates or MSTA, does so on the understanding that all services, documentation, methodology and software are provided on an advisory basis. The definitions, MSTA rules and other information contained in MSTA documentation are presented as 'subjective opinion' of MBA only and do not necessarily align with the opinions of other business continuity/disaster recovery professionals and experts in the field. The website visitor and others who read information relating to the MSTA methodology must decide for themselves whether to use or discard such information, including any information contained in the MSTA methodology, MSTA web pages and other documentation.

MBA accepts no liability for omissions or errors in any business continuity plan that is produced or implemented as a result of guidance or advice obtained from MBA or the MSTA methodology.

Polite warning:
THE MSTA METHODOLOGY, INCLUDING ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTATION, FEATURES AND SOFTWARE FILES, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTIBILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, we should prefer that you disregard all advice and guidance provided by MBA and the MSTA methodology, whether in printed form, software files or on the MSTA website.
